Leap of faith

How does one learn to trust?

On this unpredictable thing we call life

Do we just walk around unguarded?

Or spread our arms wide

To catch both the tears and smiles

How does one learn to walk?

Through the unguided paths

Do we just get lost?

Or find our way through it all

To either reach somewhere or halt

How does one learn to dream?

Amidst the chaos and nightmares

Do we just lose them in the way?

Or fight to make them come true

To be bound or be free

The distance between what is

And what could be

The space between finding yourself

And getting lost

And the choice between darkness

And the light

Lies in the leap of faith.
